When the white rabbit is right

“I’m late, I’m late. For a very important date.”

My date being Christmas. Not sure how, but I did manage to get plenty of Christmas manicures done. Except I never had time to blog about them. As per usual Christmas was manic and full of rushing around. Then I went back to work. In the past 2 weeks there has been a lot of change. Along being constantly stressed over applying for a new job (the same job just not on maternity cover) that I desperately wanted, which I did get YAYYYYYY! I’m now a permanent member of staff. I’ve finished my voluntary mentoring just finishing off the scrapbook. Found a new balance in the shop that is working well, and started driving lessons again. Well my second one got cut short due to the stress making me a tad crazy and unfocused.

*ok so its another week since I wrote all this to finish it*

After that word vomit let’s go look at Christmas.

polish me to go

Now I can’t actually remember what I used for the base colour, but I did top it with polish me to go’s 2013 whats indie box exclusive polish. It glowed in the dark, just not as much as I had hoped it would.

sparkly blue villageAs you can see these nails were rushed, and I had no time for hand care LOL. I used the village view stencils for the accent nail.

snowy tree

triangle tree

Ok so my hunt for triangle glitter paid off….6 months later. A fabulous lady on IG created a triangle tree, and I can’t remember who it was. I decided to go for a snowy tree with a snowflake topper on top of a frosty background A.K.A the yellow nail coverer.

For this manicure I started off with ILNP black orchid, and used the present stencils on top with a-England St George to coordinate with the tree. These nails were pretty, but the black cherry chipped ridiculously fast. Not sure why either as my other 2 ILNP are fine. Will use it again to see what happens. Fortunately me for me my accent nail stayed put, so before the works christmas party I slapped on a holo red to get in the festive spirit.

These were my Christmas day nails! I loved them so much they even went into the new year with me. Holo wins me over nearly all the time lately.

Thank you

There is a pile of manicures awaiting to put into posts, but I decided posting the christmas ones was more appropriate. I feel awful neglecting the blog, but I honestly have hardly any free time. Social networks  seem to be the only the place I speak to people who I don’t live with or work with.

In all honesty I’m posting because I have a rotten cold that has been brewing since Thursday! Thankfully the nose only started today. Not likely that I could tote a huge box of tissues and a bin round with me at work, or the office really. Have to say I am SO glad I took my moms advice about taking vitamin C when I started work (my immune system is pants). The only thing I’ve had since I started work is one huge migraine, but I can work in the office with that kind of. Sorry for the rambling….

To catch you all up I am loving my new job role, which is a very very good thing considering most days after work I head to the office and my off days from work are spent in the office. At the moment I love both jobs even if doing the two jobs is tiring I really get a lot from both. Office wise a new VERY expensive cutter was purchased, and my god it’s so much faster. The Mr is still teaching me the ropes with the design program it uses.

Due to my lack of time I decided to post all three of my Christmas manicures in one post.

1st xmas manicure 2014

Ok so this is my cheater manicure. I did it October whilst testing out new vinyl designs. No one actually questioned the snow flake in the middle of a Halloween manicure aha. That holo white you can see is vapid lacquer and it has become a staple in my go to polishes.

Expect some manicures that aren’t cleaned up (sorry) in the future. That should sum up my amount of spare time ha ha ha. Nearly all manicures are done whilst watching an episode of orange is the new black with the Mr in bed. Kind of in love with the cuteness of this manicure.

fair isle

Now this manicure got wrecked so fast, and well it was unfair because I loved my accent nail. The fair isle water decals in the shop I actually couldn’t nab because the stock was selling faster than I expected, and I couldn’t afford not to put them into stock (got the cutter that week). When I mentioned this to a friend in mid shop new stock chat she ordered me a pack in her order and refused to let me refund her.

The support of customers is heart warming, and I am so thankful with everyone’s patience. So that’s where I have been in a rather lengthy post.

Thank you!!

P.S. Does anyone know why ear ache is really painful for me since having and ear infection? Yesterday I was so dizzy it from it I had to stop for a moment to stop it. Rather pathetic when all I have is a cold.

Feeling thirsty

Sometimes I do silly things like cut my nails painfully short. EVERY damn time! Thankfully they grow like weeds.

feeling thirsty

DS radiance feels like a Christmas polish when I’m wearing, but I made it work. Slap a bit of blood on and some fangs…voila. The drips are actually a tester vinyl, and the fangs are available on the shop.

Ok so my accent is a white holo. It’s a tad grey when putting it next to something white, but I won’t complain.

Thank you 🙂

The best Halloween glitter EVER

At some point in summer Sally Magpies had a sale and I thought it was a good time to pick up my very first Pretty Serious polish. Bloody bride was sold out and then I saw Haddonfield. I wasn’t a hundred percent sold on it, but I knew I would either love it or hate it. My mom actually loves it.

I did have a bit of a chuckle last week. A little one asked why I had Halloween on my nails already. For my accent nail I used a Jessie’s girls polish I’ve forgotten the name of, and then used a nail art brush to add the holographic stripes. The face was done using the pumpkin face stencils in the shop and a-england bridal veil.

I’m now in love with this polish.

Thank you.

Broken rules

Every manicure I try to use unused polish, but sometimes when I’m testing new products I need something I can rely on that I definitely know only takes 2 coats.

flowers and unicorns

Obviously I went with my faithful up colors holo and Sally Hansen wet cement.

Kbshimmer Elle was untried and just ended up thick blergh, like there is too much glitter in the formula so the consistency isn’t right especially considering it was only 2 coats. That one quickly exited my stash. I just realised that I don’t have a picture of a manicure from when I used will yule marry me. It did not go with my dodgy skin tone AT ALL which is a shame because its downright gorgeous! I have one kbshimmer left to try.

Thank you!
