My very late world diabetes day mani

Everything was all on track yesterday for me to post. UNTIL I started to clean up my manicure. Spilling nail polish remover all over my fresh manicure :,(. Panicking that I would wreck it I just waited until it dried into my hands. Was it the wrong thing or right thing to do? I have no clue. Thankfully it didn’t cause too much damage, just took the shine off and made some nails look textured; a bad kind of textured. So my posting time turned into recovery time. Until I was on twitter yesterday I had no clue it was world diabetes day which is silly when I’ve grown up around diabetes due to a family member being diabetic. So thanks ladies for making me aware. Oddly enough I planned on using Nails inc Bakers street for my mani yesterday as the blueness of it is amazing, and what a better day to use it than to show my support for world diabetes day. On the subject of diabetes I really have no clue what I would do if I became diabetic (type 1) as I hate/scared/fear/panic when it comes to needles. Evil I tell you they are evil!!! I’ve become a firm believer that working carbohydrates by units of insulin is the way if you use fast acting insulin. Lucozade is the best for if you are dropping low (hypo). Insulin is one of my favourite smells along side new carpet and petrol. Enough of me rambling lets move onto the mani.

This manicure is the first time I’ve attempted feather accent nail art. They are all over Pinterest. My reaction was a bit like the aliens from toy story “ooooooooohhhhhhhhh”.

In person the blue is much deeper. Its my favourite blue! Already on my Christmas list unless I buy it before. Must resist!

The photo above seems to show the colour of the blue better. Pre clean up photo was asking friends if my feather looked pathetic or not. Nails inc is a brand I really like. The formula is great. My nails dont chip after two days, and all the colours seem to pop. The only downside is it’s not a brand I can afford regularly. Mine have all been gifts so I’ve dropped lucky. I’m really pleased with this manicure, and have had lots of compliments on the colour today.

Polishes used: Sally Hansen double duty as a base coat, Nails inc baker street, on my ring finger O.P.I. my boyfriend scales the walls. L.A colors art deco nail art polishes in silver and blue glitter. Not in the picture for some reason, but i  used Models own nail art pen in black.

P.S. Thought I had the watermarking thing worked out turns out I don’t :/
