A green indie party

Rubbish title I know.

Life has become stupidly busy, and frankly I don’t like it. I no longer have late nights; this is truly shocking as I’m a night owl by nature. My bloglovin feed is over flowing, and I’m getting a bit OCD about my nails A.K.A if they chip I avoid doing work for a valid reason. Ok so it’s only just become a valid reason.

The manicure coming up cam about when I was helping my mom fill in a job application. It took 3 hours!!! Obviously it made me freak out about applying for jobs after university has finished. Enough of my rambling let’s get onto the manicure.

st patricks day manicureReallllly dislike how the nail shape looks on photos, but not in real life hmmmm.

fgtep july

I’m incredibly lucky to own this Enchanted Polish and I will forever adore the lady who made it possible for me to have it. Especially seen as I tried to stay up for the restock and release of July at 2, and then fell asleep half hour before. Nothing new really in the EP world, but I will forever be happy with the 2 I own and at the actual price not the stupid ebay prices.

For my St Patricks day manicure I started off with EP July, and FGT polish Irish luck on my ring finger for a bit of bling. Then for the four leaf clover I stamped with a-england dragon. The peacock feather to me is lucky, and frankly I’m obsessed with peacocks so it was only right I added the gold peacock embellishment from the shop.

If you’ve read it all I thank you for reading my rambling.

Thanks for looking.

Everything BUT the kitchen sink challenge 1

Challenge time!! I wasn’t going to do another challenge, but Inky and Nicole persuaded me. The challenge is for 4 weekends. The mani’s can include anything, and everything. I’ve never done a kitchen sink mani before. It’s forced to become adventurous with designs. Kitchen sink mani’s are quite fun.

On the day I agreed to the challenge, I had only just done my nails. Instead of starting from scratch, I recycled my mani. I wanted to incorporate lines, and a matching colour scheme. Sometimes it’s scary how serious I take these things in my brain o.O.

On my thumb I attempted a glitter gradient with a make up sponge. It kind of worked. I couldn’t get the glitter to bulk up near my cuticle, so I dabbed some off the brush on. I chose the shade treasure island to pick up the teal glitter in my base colour.

On my index finger the striping tape came out to play. I used my boyfriend scales the walls to create horizontal lines. Somehow I managed to chip it on the end in my sleep. My middle finger I dotted vertical lines with treasure island. I kept my chevron pattern on my ring finger, and left my pinky finger plain to showcase my indie polish.

Products used: Sally Hansen double duty. Sally Hansen complete salon manicure in green tea. Wonder beauty products in aphrodisiac. O.P.I my boyfriend scales the walls. L.A Colors color craze in treasure island. Seche vite. Dotting tools. Make up sponge. Stripping tape. Stamping plates.

I just noticed on my middle finger I missed it doing clean up. Sorry!

Check out the others: Amanda’s, Nicole’s, Wes’s, Polly’s and Inky’s

Christmas haul

This Christmas I was a very lucky girl. Let me show you why.

All these goodies were off my fiancé. His sister wrapped everything up in here took her an hour and a half. Its so heavy I have to carry it with two hands. Inside it came with 2 nail files, cotton buds, cotton pads, cotton buds with remover inside, cuticle cream, nail polish remover, konad tools and bundle monster plates. Seche vite top coat and restorer both in professional size. Oh and the beauty case. Now onto the polishes in the box.

My first indies aphrodisiac from wonder beauty products, and blue waters from Paris sparkles. Both from Etsy.

4 to remove from wish list XD. From the N.Y.C ballet collection Barre My Soul, Care To Danse?, Don’t Touch My Tutu! and You Callin’ Me A Lyre?.

The A listers collection from Nails inc. It includes Lower Sloane Street, Ledbury Road, Mayfair, Covent Garden Ballet. Covent garden ballet is so pretty!!!

Nails inc the lollipop collection. It includes Devonshire Row, Porchester Place, Notting Hill Carnival and Hyde Park Gate. Just think of all the stamping possibilities with these.

This huge collection called colour burst from Nails inc. It includes Great Putney street, Putney bridge, Kensington, Brindle, Sheraton street, Fenchurch street, Westminster, Hampstead Heath, Holland park and Porchester place.

He got this free from nails inc. The rest are off other friends and family.

Look just look I own the full size Baker street O.O!!! This is Nails Inc ASOS Exclusive New York Navy Fashion Collection. It includes Royal Arcade, Baker Street, Sloane Gardens and Motcombe Street. One of my friends got it me :,).

This is Umberto Giannini painted lady glaminks set it includes Lady Violetta, Lady Cloudia, Lady Love, Lady Luscious, Lady Stellar and Lady Gilt. My aunty got me this set. Guilt set in when I found out the lengths she went to get it. My cousin went to boots 3 times to get it. The 3rd time it was specially ordered in to a store about 20 mins away. Boots are everywhere near us, so the fact she had to go driving round shows dedication. I’m shocked by how popular this set was.

This was in my stocking from my adopted nan and grandad. The colour is gold vision.

My other friend got me these. I’ve never used Rio nail art pens so I’m looking forward to using them.

I NEEDED THIS! and I got it XD yayyyyyyyyyyy. All that sparkle in one bottle.

How lucky am I?! I love it all!! time to play with them all. I have such good family and friends <3

My very first indie, and stamping mani

I’m back! A day late too whoops. Christmas was great spent lots of time with family, and eating. In my Christmas box off my fiancĂ© I got 2 indies, and bundle monster stamping plates 200-225. He went stalking my etsy favourites. Here is aphrodisiac from wonder beauty products.

The glitter compliments the cool shade perfectly. These nail belong on holiday. On a beach with a good book or the sea. If only I had the money for this holiday.

Now nail polish is no longer causing me to hack up a lung with this chest infection, I couldn’t wait to dive into my Christmas haul. I will post my haul, but there’s a lot so beware of a big post with LOTS of pictures. Aphrodisiac and the stamping plates were calling to me. I couldn’t decide which to use, so naturally I used both. IMG_3153

For months I have wanted chevron nails, but my free handing skills don’t stretch that far sadly. Soon as I say the plate it was O.O lets use it. Sally Hansen’s green tea was the closest colour I had for my stamping accent nail. It was an untried too. Such a pretty colour. Stamping is so quick, and easy. I thought it was going to take forever. Glitter was the first polish I tried to stamp with; as soon as I scraped the excess off it was over. No glitter was left. In keeping with the cool tones of my mani O.P.I’s my boyfriend scales the walls made an appearance. Think I need to stalk the warehouse for a back up! This is where I was a bit worried, and researched the heck out of polish brands other than konad polishes that are good to use for stamping. Turns out there was nothing to worry about. The above picture is my left hand first attempt. My right hand however is :/.

This was my second attempt. The bottom and top bit of the pattern are missing, but I left it as the pattern is quite subtle. Time to talk about aphrodisiac. This is 2 coats, and I think the glitter coverage is great. Especially since I forgot to shake the bottle before I used it. On each nail there are plenty of gold and teal glitters with the added surprise of orange glitter.

Polishes used: Sally Hansen double duty, Sally Hansen complete salon manicure in green tea, Wonder beauty products in aphrodisiac, Seche vite fast dry top coat.
